Poole Crematorium closed for refurbishment

Poole Crematorium is now closed until the end of AUGUST 2022 whilst its refurbishment takes place.
A refurbishment with the intended cost of £559,000. The refurbishment will see work being done to the ceremony room and cloisters, the construction of a new covered external waiting area, plus renovation of the reception and waiting room, including the toilet facilities. However NO new cremator!
By not installing a new cremator BCP is causing upset and inconvenience for families and funeral directors in not only BCP but North Dorset and The Isle of Purbeck.This ongoing issue confirms that BCP Council is prioritising and focusing on projects and issues that concern Bournemouth.
